Product Description
The Only Golf Lesson You’ll Ever Need, Hank Haney, one of the most respected and soughtafter golf instructors in the world, shares the secrets he’s learned by observing hundreds of thousands of students–from top PGA Tour pros to high-handicappers. He explains how intelligent observation of your ball-flight tendencies–the way your shot behaves in the air–provides the answers to helping you develop a consistent repeating swing that will lower your scores. You’ll also pick up valuable pointers on how to precisely match your equipment to your game.
Hank Haney believes that a “flawed swing” that still produces a good shot is a good swing. By focusing on the outcome of your swing first, rather than on the swing itself, he believes you can often avoid making the awkward and unnatural changes to grip, stance, posture and alignment that many golf instructors ask of their students.
The Only Golf Lesson You’ll Ever Need will help you straighten your hook or slice, add distance to your drives, identify and fix the flaws in your swing, and become a wizard around the greens.
“I’m proud of the way my swing holds up ion all kinds of conditions and under the severest pressure. Both are a tribute to Hank Haney and his teaching. Hank knows more about ballflight and what controls it than anyone in the game. And if you understand that, you’re on your way.”
— Mark O’Meara from the Foreword to The Only Golf Lesson You’ll Ever NeedAmazon.com Review
The daring claim of the title is a lot to live up to, and Haney works hard to meet the challenge by focusing on the most essential part of the game–the swing. The book’s 10 chapters are divided into three sections: “Understanding Your Swing,” “Fixing Your Swing,” and “Using Your Swing.” Throughout, the secret at the core of his teaching should inspire in most golfers a sigh of relief: it’s not how good the swing looks that matters, it’s how well that swing strikes the ball. Through clear text and photo aids, Haney helps you understand the basic requirements of each shot well enough to fix mechanical problems without winding up in traction. He certainly helped Mark O’Meara, raising him from near oblivion to 1998 champion in both The Masters and the British Open. –Jeff Silverman

I agree with everything you said! I would like to confirm that the writing and/or editing needs improvement at the very least. I was irritated by the confusing phrases and clauses, and poor punctuation. It’s hard to make any sense of what he’s talking about (sorry).
And thank God I didn’t pay full price; I borrowed it from the local library and took it back.

The Only Golf Lesson You’ll Ever Need: Easy Solutions to Problem Golf Swings
I have been playing golf for about three years. Until I went to see pro at Hank Haney Golf Ranch at Mckinney, Texas, I stuggled with my swing, putting all the time. It is Mr. Haney’s teaching program fixed my game for good. My handycap droped 20 points after I learn from his theory. Now I have a book signed by Mr. Kaney, it is a real bless. Believe me, I have read about 100 books, and I can tell you that this is the only one you need. I highly recommend this book to serious golfers. There so many tips, not many drills like you can find in other books. Some drills I learnd from other books actually ruin my game, totally useless and misleading. If you want to play a good game, follow Mr. Haney. He will lead you there.

The Only Golf Lesson You’ll Ever Need: Easy Solutions to Problem Golf Swings
I am a 50 year old struggling 25 handicapper who has finally decided to take lessons or quit. People, you can read 100 books on the golf swing, and I imagine some of you have, but you won’t know what you’re doing wrong without feedback. Take a golf lesson and have someone show you, through video, what is going on. Oh sure, there are some gifted athletes out there who can self improve just by reading a book. Not possible with an average person. In the long run lessons will be cheaper than buying books. I have read many books including all of Hank Haney’s and I thoroughly enjoy reading them, but you can’t fix what’s broke without help- trust me. Go ahead and read the books, but take a few lessons and your game will take off. Improvement takes time, some money, and practice. With three lessons I have started scoring in the mid 80’s. It is fun to play again. I can’t wait to get out there and beat my best score.

I think that this book is good for the advance-beginner and up. This is not a teaching book but a solution book. Hank(who I worked for) is one of the most sought out golf professionals in the country. In his book he teaches you how to fix everyday faults in your swing. With this book you should cut several strokes off your game. So if you want to become a better golfer read this book and practice, practice, practice!
