@TheCptBlake

wow…this is someone who has never set foot in any type of tournament golf… he OUTPLAYED everyone that week on the exact same course….u dont fluke a major…just b/c a guy wins one major in his career doesn’t mean he fluked it…..that doesnt even exist in professional golf.

This guy is another below average player who fluked a big win ……lets see how many more he gets

I have a similar hand drop in my swing, :-)

it totally is i was just thinkin bout that

love his swing

its ironic how his names glover but he does’nt wear a glove

wow u guys fight over a youtube vid?…..gay

yeah i’m sure you’re getting close to tiger’s positions, shut up. post a swing vid and let people judge it then.

yeah im sure if you hit as many balls as glover you would be as good. fuckin idiot. you don’t know shit about the golf swing, or golf in general. stop posting like you’re better than these players.

@mysteryisgod look at garcia, great ball striker, hits that amount of greens, but cant putt for toffee, then take padraig harrington, hits next to no greens, and yet when these guys have come up head to head, who won the two majors? oh yeah the guy who putts and chips well…tell you something?

lee westwood must be the anomaly then, coz he is probably the best ball striker on the european tour, and yet he didnt win for like four years.

I don’t see a lot of compensation in this swing, it’s very simple and solid fundamentally. He doesn’t cup his wrist like hogan, but does drop the club nicely into plane on the way down. Very manageable lag too! This guy ain’t goin nowhere, he’ll be around for a while.

i agree karlipbaum

You’re a bunch of idiots

great rythm great timing

obviously ball striking is important, but you dont become a great ball striker through perfect mechanics. You do it by having confidence in your motion, whether it be lucas glover’s handsy swing or stewart cinks really steep downswing/ comeacross. You just have to have confidence in your swing, you dont have to have the perfect swing.

dude, y do players spend so much time on their swing?
GIR is equally important as putting - make 15/16 greens in regulation and you’ll be winning regularly

ur an absolute idiot, do you honestly think that whether or not glover wins another major depends on this fucking “swing flaw”. Hes made it to this level with that swing. The thing that will give him more wins is simply a better short game, and just putting together 4 solid rounds.

hey mysterisgod ur a douche for acting like a smart ass quit tryin 2 sound like a pro and thinkin u know wants worng with the best players in the world.

to mysteryisgod: idiot. just look at how he owned the grand slam. in 30mph winds. that isn’t a 18 handicapper takeaway. yours probably is though

hmm, interesting point. i’ve been consciously trying to straighten the right arm angle to get into the tiger/ ernie position.
of course fred couples/ monti/ glover/ etc. use ur position.
i think the key is getting the right hand close to the right hip at impact - hitting from the inside basically. as long as u can do that, its fine.

seriously??
look at the top of the take-away: is his right arm in the “holding the tray” position?
its very clearly not vertical.
the guy jus waps so many every day that he’s gotten good at it.

He swings the club ‘one plane’ as written by Jim Hardy. The takeaway involves the right elbow lifting slightly on the backswing like you see here to keep it on one plane. It’s far from an 18 handicappers takeaway. Learn about swing planes before you comment.

takeaway of an 18 handicapper - using wirst to keep blade open.
but then while starting the downswing he corrects it…hence leading to solid ball-striking.
but this technnique has to be incosistent…he’s never gonna win another major…lucky to have the 1

whats wrong with his takeaway? oh thats its nicely on plane… oh wait
