Trivino is inspirational.. I’m going to be on tour one day…

@emncaity this is such an idiotic comment. if there were no upgrades in equipment and today’s players still played with “wood” and never new of metal/titanium, they would have continued to impove their skills just like they did back in Jack, Lee’s day. you can’t make this comparison because you have no clue how guys would play today if they never played newer equipment. Ray Floyd even said during masters that the field (aside from the greats) is much stronger today.

saw him at senior event in hickory n.c. a few yrs ago. he was amazing to watch hitting mid to short irons in the way he made the ball conform both in flight and upon landing according to what the shot required.fun to listen to all the way around the course.

BUT …. he hit the ball square every time.

@emncaity Did you see him when he still played a gentle fade? I saw him not long ago, and he was almost exclusively playing a draw, more to gain distance I would suspect.

I’ve seen it dude. UGLY!!!!!!! Contact point, beautiful. So what’s your point?

If they went back to persimmon and forged, and threw away all the game-improvement aspects of the clubs these guys are using, half the field couldn’t break 70–and the gap between some of the top players who can get the sweet spot onto the ball and those who can’t would be even more apparent.

BTW, I saw Trevino play in person when he was already slowing down on the sr tour, but he was unbelievable. Different sound off the clubface than the other pros–so pure and flush, and so under control.

Don’t say so until you’ve seen him in person and heard that contact. Trust me.

Awesome striker of a golf ball. i mean look how small those club heads are. Jack / Lee great. Pros these days would crap them panties :)

one of the craziest swings ever. but he made it work and he is a hell of a player!!!

“In case of a thunderstorm, stand in the middle of the fairway and hold up a one iron. Not even God can hit a one iron.” Lee Trevino

Great golfer yes. Beautiful Swing? I dont think so!

Trevino’s swing is proof that you can still play at the highest level of golf without possessing the so called perfect swing. Slicers can learn a lot from his swing. You can still take the club outside and loop it back inside and cut the ball to produce a more gradual left to right movement like Trevino did and not have to completely change the swing

wow….!!!! great tip
Thank you

Lee Trevino is in my opinin one of the best players, but the swing looks painful.

I am glad this video is here, I was just thinking about Trevino talking about his one-two-three setup before swinging. Thanks for uploading this! What a fun guy to watch.

What a great golfer he was. Beautiful swing too.

Thank You !!
