I read it more one time and I feel that it’s incomplete to learn the swing. Perhaps it’s a book to read with a professional.

I did not like this book. It does not explain the golf swing sufficiently for the user to perform the swing correctly. There are certain aspects that I believe leave the reader unclear. For example, the book says that you need to imagine the inside path to the ball in the downswing as a slide going down to the ball. It does not say how the reader should actually perform this move.
I found there is very little in this book that I found to help my game. There are defiantly many fundamentals of the golf swing that this book doesn’t even start to discuss. I also don’t like the way that the book recommends that you learn how the hands/arms use before learning how the entire body should be used. The book even says that you can swing well without even reading the body/hips section. IMO this will turn the reader into a very “handsy” type of player. It is my belief that the swing is a blend of the entire body and advocating that it is possible to learn how the hands move without even addressing the hips and body is wrong.
There are better books around such as the LAWS of Golf, and Four Magic Moves to Winning Golf.

I ran across this book in a used book store during the off season.I read the first couple of chapters and did the non hitting drills. After not playing golf for two months stopped by the range and the results were amazing. Hit the ball flush and had more control than ever. Continued the non hitting drills for a week then snuck out to the course on a nice day and it all carried over to live play. If i got out of rythme i would do a quick drill and be right back on track. Tied my best score and left about 5 strokes on the course from bad chips and two three putts. Gave it to a friend and ordered a new one for myself. 18 Handicap.

This book is not only good for beginners, but also for low handicap golfers who get caught up in mechanics. This was a recommendation by one of the PGA professionals who is helping me get ready for some of the major amateur tournaments and a possible run at the Champion’s Tour. It is great for getting you out of “position golf” and into creating the motions involved in a swing. The drills are practical and can be done at home and at the range.
